Please Note : This error specificially may arise in Microsoft Outlook 2000 version only.
Run Disk Doctors Outlook Mail Recovery (.pst) application either from the desktop or from Programs menu shortcut i.e. Start->Programs->Disk Doctors Outlook Mail Recovery (.pst)->Disk Doctors Outlook Mail Recovery (.pst).exe.
2. Click on 
"Select PST" option from the toolbar or from the File menu.
3. As you click on "Select PST" option, a window opens to browse for the .pst file which needs to be repaired. Select a .pst file you wish to repair.
To locate default .pst file Outlook data archive files (.pst) below mentioned is the standard path
drive: \Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
4. After selecting the .pst file to be repaired, click on 
"Repair & Save" option in the toolbar.
5. Select destination path where repaired .pst file would be stored abd click "OK" to proceed.
The application uses most innovative scanning technique to locate emails in the selected .pst file and restores them into a new .pst file in the selected destination path. Restored .pst file is similar to the original corrupted .pst file.
You then need to import the new formed .pst file to Microsoft outlook to access your emails, tasks, notes, calender, appointments and contacts as before.
