Is it possible to recover photos from formatted memory cards? Most of the formatted memory cards can be recovered using Disk Doctors Photo Recovery software (Mac Version) & Disk Doctors Digital Media Recovery (Windows Version). However, some digital camera's purge the storage media during formatting using low level disk formatting process, thus eliminating any chance of recovery. Since, there are wide ranges of digital camera models available in the market, it is not viable for us to categorize formatting process used in each digital camera model. We suggest you to download the free demo version and check for recovery possibilities from your formatted storage device. All you have to do is connect the card to your Mac machine via a USB or FireWire card reader and scan it. If you are able to recover files and preview them, you should be able to rescue them out of the memory card.
