Q10005 - HOWTO: Repair DBX file using Disk Doctors Email Recovery (DBX)

Using Disk Doctors Outlook Express Email Recovery (DBX) for repairing DBX files is fairly simple task.

Upon execution the Outlook Express Email Recovery software displays two options to select as shown below:

Select DBX  
 
Search DBX File 

 

 

If you know where your DBX file are located, then select "Select DBX" option. As soon as you click on "Select DBX" option, a window to select an individual DBX file or a folder containing many DBX files, the Windows where you can select these options is shown below:

 

 

Let's select option, "Select DBX File", 

A window is prompted to select a dbx file from the desired location as shown below:


After selecting DBX file, click on Open button. You can see the filepath selected on the wizard window

Now click on Next button to continue. After you click on Next button, a window appears with option to select destination location you wish to save recovered Emails

As you click on "Select Destination" option, a window is displayed to select destination location where you can browse for a destination folder or create New Folder.

After selecting the destination location, its path is displayed on the window panel. Click on Repair button to continue. Recovery process starts.

As you click on OK button, you can see the number of files and messages recovered in the information window in Wizard Window.
